Nene Valley Model Railway Association currently hold an informal meeting at 7.00 every Thursday Evening in Peterborough, where modellers of all ages and abilities come together to work on the layouts and to discuss matters of general interest.
Our weekly summer meetings are held at the workshop. This is located at 30 Whitecross, Ravensthorpe, PE3 7LP. The best method of finding the entrance, is to park at the rear of No 30 Whitecross in Raleigh Way where there is usually adequate public parking .Depending on your direction of travel into Raleigh Way [it's a crescent] at about 150 yds from one end of the road you will see a vintage vehicle, an old green Spite Motorhome parked on the end of a public parking bay. The rear entry to No 30 Whitecross is at the nearside of the Van. We meet at 7.00pm to generally chat and run the trains. A garden railway will also be built there over the next month or two.
Visitors and prospective members are always made extremely welcome! As we are a small club our members are always advised of alterations to meetings by e-mail and as far in advance as possible, Intending visitors are advised to telephone us before setting out.
The
Association usually manages the Peterborough Model Railway Exhibition
held in June every
year and would welcome the assistance of those willing to help with the
organisation and smooth running of this popular event. This year's
exhibition held in June was
undoubtedly a
great success. This event grows in size year by year and is
organised on a completely non commercial basis by model railway
enthusiasts - for model railway enthusiasts.
